Homemade DIY eye mask: (under eye only)
Ingredients: (1x/2x a week)
- 1 tablespoon aloe vera gel
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil (sub with your favorite oil)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon green tea (cooled and brewed)
- Optional: a few drops of vitamin E oil
- In a small bowl, mix together the aloe vera gel, coconut oil, honey, and green tea until well combined.
- If desired, add a few drops of vitamin E oil to the mixture and stir again.
- Place the mixture in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to cool and thicken slightly.

- Afterward, rinse off the mask with lukewarm water and pat your skin dry.
- Follow up with your regular eye cream or moisturizer.
*NOTE: It is generally safe to leave on under eye patches for 15-20 minutes. For hydro gels, it safe to leave overnight or follow the instructions provided on the packaging. As for DIY recipe, 10-15 minutes is enough followed by light eye moisturizer after rinsing.
SENSITIVE SKIN
- Eye mask made from hypoallergenic materials like organic cotton or bamboo
- Cotton pads with glycerin, aloe, green tea, chamomile, or licorice root extract (or under eye patch)
- Cotton pads soaked in rose water (or under eye patch)
TIRED OR STRAINED EYES
- Silk eye mask: Silk eye masks are soft, breathable, and gentle on the skin. They can help to block out light and reduce friction around the eyes, which can help to prevent wrinkles.
