TIRED OR STRAINED EYES

  • Silk eye mask: Silk eye masks are soft, breathable, and gentle on the skin. They can help to block out light and reduce friction around the eyes, which can help to prevent wrinkles.
  • Cooling eye mask: Cooling mask can help to reduce puffiness and inflammation around the eyes. They are also a great way to relieve headaches and tension. Cooling eye masks can be gel-filled or chilled in the refrigerator before use.
  • Heated Eye Mask: The warmth can improve blood circulation around the eyes, which can help reduce puffiness and dryness.

Step 4 – Sensory Experience

  • Aromatherapy: Spray your pillow or bedding with a calming lavender mist before slipping on your eye mask. The scent can further promote relaxation.
  • Soothing Sounds: Play calming music or nature sounds like gentle rain or ocean waves. You can find many sleep playlists online or create your own.
  • Or:
  • Guided Meditation: Consider using a guided meditation app or audio specifically designed for sleep. These can help quiet your mind and promote relaxation. Alternatively, focus on calming visualizations like a peaceful beach or a serene forest.
  • Mask Up: Put on your chosen eye mask, ensuring it fits comfortably. If you’re using full eye mask make sure it blocks out all light.
  • Deep Breaths: Practice deep breathing exercises to quiet your mind and promote relaxation. Inhale slowly through your nose for a count of four, hold for a count of seven, and exhale slowly through your mouth for a count of eight. Repeat for several minutes.

Focus on Experimentation

  • While an eye mask might not be the magic bullet for everyone, there are other options to explore! Experiment with a couple of natural sleep aids or herbal supplements to find what works best for you.
  •  Adding regular walks into your routine may promote better sleep quality and overall well-being.
